Visivox SCM-PRE 2 Stereo Preamplifier

Expertly designed, with professional printed circuit boards and the latest in miniature electronics, the SCM-PRE 2 is Visivox's upgraded power supply/amplifier, perfect for those who wish to record through the "Line-In" on their MDR, DAT, or MP3 recorders, enabling you to bypass the power supply and internal preamp in your recorder. It's perfect for live lecture or concert taping where the input is either too sensitive, or prone to distortion when recording loud music.

This preamp is designed to match your "Line In" input for total manual control over the recording process. It is powered by one 9 volt battery (included) and will raise the tiny signals generated by your microphone and amplify them to "Line Level" (around 150mV), plenty of power to drive even the "Line in" on your computer sound card. The Visivox preamp will also power any stereo microphone requiring "Plug in Power". You will never have to worry about microphone compatibility issues again.

Fully assembled with included battery, it's ready to work right out of the box. This model adds a "high" and "low" gain on each input channel, but otherwise is exactly the same as the SCM-PRE. Includes patch cord for signal transfer to your recorder.
